The department of anaesthesiology and critical care at Aarvy Healthcare Super Specialty Hospital not only provides pre, during and post-surgical care to patients undergoing surgery, it also supports patients requiring intensive care for brain, heart, lungs, cancer or other medical conditions. At Aarvy, we have more than 30 beds dedicated only to critical care (CCUs) and intensive care (ICUs) designed to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort throughout their journey at the Hospital.

Pre-operative Evaluation: Before any surgical procedure, our anaesthesiologists perform a thorough pre-operative evaluation to assess the patient’s overall health and determine the most suitable anaesthetic technique. Pre Anaesthesia Checkup (PAC) involves reviewing medical history, conducting physical examinations, and ordering necessary investigations.

Tailored Anaesthetic Plan: Based on the pre-operative evaluation, our anaesthetists develop a personalized anaesthetic plan for each patient. This plan takes into account the patient’s medical condition, type of surgery, and individual preferences. We strive to offer the most appropriate anaesthetic techniques, including general anaesthesia, local anaesthesia and regional anaesthesia, to ensure optimal pain control and comfort.

Intraoperative Monitoring: During surgery, our anaesthetists closely monitor the patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal carbon dioxide levels. Monitoring through advanced equipment ensure the patient’s stability and help promptly address any deviations from normal parameters.

Pain Management: Effective pain management is crucial for post-operative recovery. At Aarvy Healthcare, we employ various techniques, such as epidural anaesthesia, patient-controlled anaesthesia, and multimodal anaesthesia, to provide optimal pain relief while minimizing side effects. Our team of anaesthetists works closely with the surgical team to develop a tailored pain management plan for each patient.

Post-operative Care: After surgery, our dedicated critical care team provides comprehensive post-operative care in the intensive care unit (ICU) or high-dependency unit (HDU). We ensure continuous monitoring, pain management, and appropriate interventions to facilitate a smooth recovery and minimize complications.
